In celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival, Fairmont Hanoi presents VONG – Echoes of Heritage, bringing together ceramic sculpture by Vu Huu Nhung and bamboo and rattan works by Tran Thuoc. Rooted in heritage, memory and traditional materials, the exhibition unfolds as a dialogue between past and present, craftsmanship and contemporary artistic expression. About artists Vu Huu Nhung From the centuries-old ceramic village of Phu Lang, Bac Ninh, Vu Huu Nhung has spent years reimagining the language of traditional pottery through color, form and surface, helping bring Phu Lang ceramics into contemporary artistic life.
Tran Thuoc Born in Ninh Binh in 1992, Tran Thuoc draws inspiration from nature and organic structures. For Vong, he explores bamboo and rattan through sculptural forms shaped by rhythm, movement and transformation.
Two artists, two materials and two distinct practices come together in a shared reflection on how Vietnamese heritage continues to evolve through contemporary art. Fairmont Hanoi is committed to creating space for local artists and contemporary Vietnamese voices, connecting their work with audiences in Vietnam and beyond.
